About me
Fitness/Nutrition Enthusiast for over 10 years. I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation T1 at the age of 17. At 43, I have 4 autoimmune diseases: Chronic ITP (Chronic Immune Thrombocytopenia- rare blood disease), Fibromyalgia, Clinical depression, and Anxiety. I have seen multiple doctors at the top rank hospitals in Texas: (Scott & White, Temple Tx) and (M.D. Anderson- Houston, Tx). A neurosurgeon at Northwestern University examined my MRI’s and said I wasn’t severe enough for surgery. I have 5mm of my brain protruding into my tonsil, which causes chronic pain throughout my body.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!I’m currently taking Amovig 140mg once a month for my pain. I have eliminated all dairy and red meat from my diet do to fibromyalgia inflammation. (Food allergies can cause triggers)
I am not a doctor, nor do I pretend to be. I have worked closely with my doctors throughout the years to learn more about my illness. I’m writing this blog, to give hope to those who live with this illness. I have maintained a healthy and fit lifestyle to minimize my symptoms. This is what works for me, and how I’m able to turn my illness into something positive!
What You Do
I am a mom of two boys, 15 and 20 years old. I worked 14 years as a Registrar at a High School until my health declined. I spent 2 years on a career pause, focusing on my health. In 2022, I started working again full time as an Insurance Agent. I get my workouts done in the morning, to allow my body to rest throughout the day. My hobbies are: blogging, photography, hiking, and spending time with my family.
