A week without social media… Self reflection

Have you ever taken a week or two away from social media platforms? I’m serious… Not posting anything for a week. I did, just that thing this past week and let me tell you..”refreshing!”

Not only was it refreshing not reading anything on social media, but taking a step back and not posting anything. Not looking at numbers, or analytics. I know I’m not the only one who feels like that, like running in circles. Looking at things constantly can sometimes kill your motivation until you step outside and look at the progress you have made. I have literally been none stop for a year with my blog and working as an insurance agent. Remember, I went on a complete career change at 43. So, I’m learning two new things (insurance and blogging) at the same time. Lots of research involved, and studying.

It’s hard seeing the progress when you are in the daily grind. All you know is that if you work hard everyday, the results will come. Just like in fitness, which has been a journey within itself these few years. I can honestly say I am seeing the progress in my body. I absolutely love sharing progress pictures, and talking about my health journey. I know there are more people being diagnosed, and I want them to have a positive support blog.

This week, looking in… I can say that I can see the progress first hand. Numbers seen daily doesn’t show a bigger picture until you step out for a week. Numbers are always showing improvement, and it’s a non-stop learning process… But there is growth.
