As I’m sitting here in the walk in clinic, I couldn’t help but think how I could have prevented this. When you live with an autoimmune disease, you have to allow your body the adequate rest. If not, your body will force you to rest.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!I love working out, and sometimes push my body to the limits. I wanted to finish the end of the year off strong, but entered the new year off being sick. The last week of December, I went above and beyond my limit.
My normal workout schedule is 4 to 5 days working out, and at least 2 days to rest. If I do not allow my body to rest, it gets weak to the point I’m vulnerable to sickness. I could have avoided being sick if I had only allowed my body to get its rest.
Now, my body is forcing me to rest and recover. Which will take longer than the 2 days I normally give my body. This is what happens when you don’t give your body the rest it needs. It will force you to rest, and put your goals on hold until you feel better.
