Even though I try to live a healthy lifestyle, doesn’t mean that I do not have pain. Last night, 2am woke up with an excruciating migraine. Took pain medication and feel back to sleep. I slept so hard that I had to rely on my husband to take my son to morning practice.

I do not know what triggered the migraine. Possibly my body was tired from the new schedule, and triggered a migraine to keep my body at rest. It sounds crazy, but it took me years to realize my body is communicating. I just needed to listen. Waking up at 5:30am, take my child to practice, go to the gym, work, then coming home and cook dinner. This is a normal routine for a lot of us out here, but after awhile this becomes too much for my body to bear.

My body can only do four good solid days of working out. I need the three days to recover. Compromised immune systems take a little longer than if I was healthy. Which is okay. After three days, I’m ready to hit the work week head on.

I’m exhausted, so I’ll be going to bed early tonight. I need the rest, so my body won’t be vulnerable to sickness. A healthy, well rested body is strong enough to fight off sickness. A tired body is not as healthy because it needs rest. Your body isn’t as strong to fight off illnesses, like a rested body would. Rest is the best medicine!
