The After Effects of a Festive Weekend!

Hotdogs, chips, dips, fried French fries, along with some other bad choices over the weekend. I will not say that I did not enjoy all those bad decisions, because I merely did. However, all good things must come to an end, and routine will soon be a way of life again.

This morning as I worked out at the gym, my legs felt like heavy anchors. I just knew the heaviness was because I enjoyed one Dr. Pepper with my hotdog. The heaviness is because my body was use of eating clean, (jasmine rice, sautéed bell pepper, with chicken breast) every day for the past month and half.

The reason why I’m eating the same thing everyday, is because I’m focusing on getting leaner for the summer. Which has taught me patience, discipline, and consistency. In order to maintain that goal, I had to start today on getting my body detoxed, and back on the wagon.

Remember, my blog about balance? Life isn’t always about being disciplined. Let me rephrase that, because if you want to reach your goals, yes you have to be disciplined, but family time on the 4th of July, discipline can wait. Just my honest opinion, though. ✌🏽
