I honestly try not to drink alcohol, except for special events. The reason I don’t drink daily is for the fact, alcohol is another trigger for fibromyalgia flare ups. The Fourth of July weekend, I spent time with family and friends. Enjoying a few drinks, but on the second day… I felt my body was already feeling funny. Meaning… I was feeling inflammation all over.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Today, I’m going to fast until 5pm or so. During this process, I drink plenty of fluids. This helps my body flush the toxins from the weekend. Tomorrow, as I’ll get back on track with my workout schedule, I’ll be sweating a lot of those toxins out. I will not drink alcohol for awhile to get my body back on track.
A healthy lifestyle, also calls for balance. Majority of the time, I have a routine schedule that doesn’t involve alcohol. Work, gym, blog, mom duties, sleep and repeat. Holiday festivities do not happen often, so when they do… I set my normal routine to the side, to really relax and unwind.
Don’t restrict your life to the point, you’ll get burned out. Diets fail because your suppressing yourself from the items that aren’t “as” healthy to items you’ll soon burn yourself out on. It’s okay to have a cheat day with moderation. Enjoy that desert, enjoy that drink, enjoy the things outside the normal routine. It’s those little things that balances out life.
I’m honestly ready for tomorrow. I enjoyed my weekend to it’s fullest. I ate like crap, and yes, I feel like crap… but I’m happy! I’m motivated to get back on schedule, and knowing my body will bounce back in the next few days.
