This journey that I jumped into, was exciting! Even down to the very few hours left of this competition for Ms. Health and Fitness 2022. The whole process of this journey hasn’t been easy. However, I proved to myself that I could do it. These past two years, dealing with my health hasn’t been the easiest… But I did it!
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The first week of this competition, my husband lost his brother to Stage 4 cancer. As much as it pained me, the first week was rough. Crying while walking, and really grieving when I was alone. The gym was my therapy, my true happy place from reality. For that two or three hours, I’m walking or lifting… I’m not a wife, a mom, or a daughter. I’m this incredible badass who I am transitioning into!
I’m sure I have on lookers who think I’m a fitness fanatic, but honestly they are only judging a book by its cover. The gym has allowed me to grow to a strong, God fearing women, who was once a shattered, traumatized little girl who had severe emotional and abandonment issues.
We all have a story, some worst than others. The key is to channel all that trauma into a happy place. I’m not saying everyone will suddenly become a fitness junky, but find your passion. What lights that spark?
The gym has been that spark. For over a year, I have been disciplined to train everyday. The woman who I was then to who I am now… a women who took that big leap to compete for the Ms Health and Fitness Competition!
